Mr. Consul General,

In the Jan 4, 2014 meeting of over 30 Chinese American Associations of Chicago, participants strongly condemned Japanese Prime Minister’s visit to the shrine where war criminals are worshiped. This provocative action of the government of Japan has angered people around the world. We stand resolutely against the worship of war criminals whose actions led to the killing of over 30 million Chinese in World War Two.

Chinese Americans made great sacrifice to support US and China in World War Two against Japan’s invasion. Chinese Americans cherish the peace brought by the victory of WWII. We are firmly against Japan government’s attempt to change Japan’s peace constitution. It is the responsibility of all peace loving people to prevent Japan from going back to the road of war.

Please pass the following messages of Chinese Americans to the government of Japan.

• Say No to Japanese Prime Minister’s Worship of War Criminals.

• United we stand against Japan’s worship of convicted War Criminals.

• Say Yes to Peace. Say No to Japan’s Change of Peace Constitution.

• Salute to WWII Heroes. Say No to Worship of War Criminals.

示威游行

尊敬的各位侨领和各位朋友：

2013年12月26日，日本首相安倍晋三冒天下之大不韪，无视国际社会、亚洲邻国和日本民众的反对，悍然参拜了供奉有二战甲级战犯的靖国神社。日本政府采取加剧与邻国紧张关系的行动，试图修改在美国帮助下制定的和平宪法，重蹈军国主义覆辙。

大芝加哥地区华侨华人于2014年1月4日召开声讨会，在会上决定举办示威游行，严厉谴责日本首相安倍晋三参拜靖国神社，强烈反对日本政府修改和平宪法的企图，坚决捍卫二战胜利成果，努力维护世界和平。
